1, What is Google Cloud Platform:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a cloud computing platform that enables businesses and organizations to build and run their applications on the same system that Google has been using for great products like Google Search, Google Maps, Google Apps, Chrome, Youtube,… GCP brings all the essential services, including Big Data, Storage, Compute Engine, Networking, Management, Developer Tools, Mobile.

Therefore, businesses only need to focus on the work that is really important to them without having to pay attention to the system below. GCP not only gives businesses familiar services, but the difference is those services are located at Google, which has a Datacenter system with data security, the most rigorous standards for a cloud computing system.

  • Services – Cloud Endpoints, Translate API, Prediction API

3, About Google Cloud SQL in Google Storage:

Cloud Storage is a form of service provided by a provider that allows users of their service to remotely store, manage, share, and back up their data. This service allows users to access the file anytime, as long as there is internet access.  Your data is stored on the server of that provider and you will use a desktop application or their online web application to access your data.

Google Cloud SQL provides a database administrator (database) My SQL and PostgreSQL (beta).  This is a Full-managed Database that is structured on the Google Cloud Platform.

Cloud SQL can extend up to 10TB of Storage, 25000 IOPS, 208GB of RAM per instance. You do not have to worry about back-up, replication, patches, updates.  Google will automatically handle all of these steps. The scalability of Cloud SQL is also very large based on Live Migration because of the use of GCE instance.  In addition, Google Cloud SQL can also easily connect to other GCP services such as GCE, GAE.

How to use Google Cloud SQL

Before starting, we need the following:

–  A Google Cloud Platform project

– Make sure you’ve connected the payment to that project

– Enable the Cloud SQL Administration API
